·         Quinidine used in treatment of cardiac fibrillation(auricular fibrillation) as cardiac depressant
·         Astringent
·         Bitter tonic/stomachic (stimulating gastric and appetite )
·         Used in hair preparation
·         Contra indicated during pregnancy
